Kind of a crazy day. Lately I've been extremely stressed about making this Friday’s commercial flight to Boston. See, I’m trying to catch a 3:08 flight but I may have a tie-cutting ceremony, the hurricane…yadda yadda… So it was such a treat to get up in the air with today’s unusually stellar weather.
I flew with the Skipper for my Safe For Solo flight and he promptly got me back in the air before sundown. This last flight was my favorite flight thus far. I will get a few more solo flights but only with an instructor tailing behind our formation. Depending on what rotary airframe I get next year, I may not fly solo like this until 1. I rent a Cesna somewhere (not likely) or 2. I fly my own single-engine personal plane (don’t own yet) as a 55 year old retiree. No matter, I cherished the flight, did the aerobatic maneuvers, and flew low, checking out the east coast of Mobile Bay. The sun was setting, there was no traffic, and I…was...alone…
