After watching several times, you can hear the air brakes go into "emergency" right at the beginning, and then, counting the engines, see that the train comes to an emergency stop in about 13 car lengths, vs a mile-and-a-half, normally. Watch that truck cab move abruptly! I don't think the driver even knew there was trouble afoot. Also, see the orange-vested dork by the crossing get the hell out of there. Good thing the railfan/photographer had his camera on a fixed tri-pod, 'cause you can actually see the ballast stones flying through the air in his direction. I love it!
