Impressive Coast Guard Rescue Video:
in a 65 by my buddy, Christian. Chris and I played a lot of sax together in jazz band at the Academy. He's good people and, in the video, does a great job clearing 'down and left.' No seriously, I didn't even know them thar 65's could hover at 7,000 feet. The Big Irons would be working a bit to do so too. I'll check with him, but they must have been as light as a feather with minimal fuel. Bravo Zulu, as we say.
Spear fishing again today:
I saw, in this order, a barracuda, a turtle, a nurse shark, and a stingray. I didn’t particularly like any of them. They all seemed mean... except maybe the turtle. But that turtle was fast; we had all we could do to keep up. I had to hydrodraft off the rescue swimmer I was fishing with. And I just made up the word, ‘hydrodraft.’
